The Queens County Bar Association has provided dedicated service to the legal profession and the community of Queens, New York for more than 138 years. Founded in 1876, the QCBA boasts more than 2,000 members joining together for a common purpose. They include many distinguished members of the bench and bar.
With sixty active committees, the Queens County Bar Association is concerned with a wide variety of legal areas and service to the public. This is evident in our mission.
- To facilitate interactions between our members and members of the bench;
- To enhance and foster the public’s understanding of the practice of the law and the judicial system by providing public outreach and educational programs;
- To cultivate professional competence, development, education, cooperation, collegiality and diversity among our members.
Academy of Law
Established in January of 1999, the QCBA Academy of Law was created to expand opportunities and the diversity of continuing legal education offered at the Bar Association. Our seminars, created and taught by our distinguished committee chairs and members, inspire and expand knowledge and awareness within the legal professional community. Monthly meetings are open to individuals who wish to teach, produce or assist in coordinating programs that will improve the knowledge and awareness of our membership and the legal profession.
It’s easy to become a member by volunteering some time to help us put together quality programs. Call us at 718-291-4500 for more information.
