“NYC Build it Back” Registration Drive

We have entered the third week of NYC Build it Back’s registration period, and thousands of homeowners, landlords, and tenants in the five boroughs whose homes and properties were damaged by Hurricane Sandy have registered.

That is good progress, but we need to keep getting the word out, especially in the following neighborhoods where registration numbers to date are lower than anticipated given damage levels:

·         Georgetown-Marine Park-Bergen Beach- Mill Basin

·         Lindenwood-Howard Beach

·         Brighton Beach

·         Carnarsie

·         Hammels-Arverne-Edgemere

·         Far Rockaway-Bayswater

·         Seagate-Coney Island

“NYC Build it Back” Outreach Team Needs Your Help!

The Build it Back Outreach team, listed below, is focused on getting as many people to register for the program as possible, and they appreciate your help getting the word out.

Please let them know about any issues you are seeing in your communities where you work that may be preventing more people from registering.

Please use the attached flyers (copies in English, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese) to help drive registration. If you would like printed copies, you may request a delivery from your outreach team borough Director, below.

Visit the NYC Build it Back website atwww.nyc.gov/builditbackfor more information or click theonline registration form.

Please note that NYC Build it Back encourages members of the public to reach out to them using their housing@recovery.nyc.gov email as it really helps them track the issues that come in as well as the responses that go out.
